PET is a thermoplastic resin made from polyethylene terephthalate. Simply put, PET is used to make items such as mineral water bottles, beverage bottles, and baby bottles. PET sheets are boards with a PET film laminated onto their surface—commonly referred to as "polyester boards." The thickness of the film typically ranges from 0.35 to 0.6 mm. The base material for these boards can vary widely, including particleboard, MDF, and other types of wood-based panels. They work exceptionally well in minimalist and light-luxury interior designs, delivering striking results.

I. Characteristics

Advantages: Food-grade, safe, environmentally friendly, and non-toxic; wear-resistant and scratch-resistant; moisture-resistant and high-temperature resistant; aesthetically pleasing and resistant to fading; highly stable and long-lasting.

II. Classification

Depending on the level of gloss, PET comes in a high-gloss series and a matte series; currently, the matte series (also known as "skin-feel") is more commonly used.

High-gloss PET is commonly used for kitchen cabinets because it’s easy to clean and maintain hygiene. Matte-finish PET is more often chosen for wardrobes, as it feels smooth and delicate, offering a simple yet textured aesthetic.

Disadvantages: Expensive price; cannot be shaped—only available as flat-panel cabinet doors.
